Christmas.

The word "Christmas" is derived from the words "Christ's Mass" - the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

A Christmas tree stands in everybody's living room at Christmas. In fact America adopted it before it found its way to England early in Queen Victoria's reign.

Now every Christmas British people are sent a huge fir tree from Norway which stands in Trafalgar Square, in the centre of London, shining down on all the people who gather on Christmas Eve.

Christmas decoration is a symbol of love and reconciliation.In Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, holly is known as "Christ's thorns", the legend being that Christ wore a crown of holly thorns before his death. Some people have seen associations between the word "holly" and "holy".

William Egley, an English artist, seems to have the best claim. In 1842 he designed his own card and sent it to one hundred of his friends.

Today three billion are sent annually in the United States alone.

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

Vladimir Putin is a famous Russian politician. He was a Russia Federation president in 8 May 2000 - 7 May 2008. Now he is a Prime minister. At this moment Vladimir Putin is living in his residence in Novo-Ogarevo in Moscow. Because he is a prime minister he must wear a formal and smart clothes. On the picture we can see a black jacket, white shirt and a gray tie. How I can see he isn't wearing earrings and rings. Now hi is 52 years old. His weight is 76 kilos. Vladimir Putin has got an oval face, big brown eyes, his nose is small. He haven't a hair - he is hairless. He has got very small ears. His finger is turned up and I think that he is exciting or he want that all are listening him. On the picture he is speeking from the platform of the Kremlin. I think that he is saying something for ministers. For me he is good politic and human.

My Favorite Hobby.

My favorite hobby is collecting car models. This group is collecting something. I have got a forty five cars. I have got a Porshe, Ferrari, Audi, Toyota, Nissan, Citroen, BMV and some sport cars. I collect them three years with my father. I have got old car as Chevrolett Corvette (1957) and some new cars as BMV Z8 (2007).When I have got a spare time I like watching on them, but I don't like washing them, because they have got small parts. For me this collection have a real value.

The Tower Of London.

The Tower of London is one of the most imposing and popular of London's historical sites. It comprises not one, but 20 towers. The oldest one is The White Tower. Nowadays a lot of tourists visit the Tower of London, because of the Tower's evil reputation as a prison. The Tower is famous as home of the Crown Jewels. Today they can be viewed in their new jewel house. They include the Crown of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother which contains the celebrated Indian diamond.
